Consultant Neurologist

Applications are invited for a Consultant Neurologist to join a fantastic team of 10 supportive colleagues based in North West England. This is a substantive post; however, candidates wishing to apply for a fixed-term role will also be considered.

Our client is looking for someone with a particular interest in MS or Epilepsy; however, they encourage applications from candidates with any Neurological sub-specialty interest that complements the existing team. There is extensive undergraduate medical student teaching, and the Trust has active research links with the Universities of Manchester, Lancaster, and Central Lancashire.

The appointee must have the following:

1. MRCP or equivalent postgraduate general medical experience.
2. Full GMC registration.
3. Ability to gain CCT within 6 months of appointment in Neurology or equivalent training obtained outside the EU leading to entry on the specialist register.
4. For candidates who reside abroad, you must have completed the necessary language test (IELTS / OET / NARIC) before applying. You must be able to satisfy the language test requirements of the UKVI remit.
5. A wide range of clinical experience in neurology and subspecialty expertise.
6. Evidence of commitment to audit.
