Applications are invited for a Consultant Neurologist to join a supportive team of 10 colleagues based in North West England. This is a substantive post, though fixed-term applications will also be considered.

Our client is particularly interested in candidates with a focus on MS or Epilepsy, but welcomes applications from those with any neurological subspecialty that complements the existing team.

The role involves extensive undergraduate medical student teaching, and the Trust maintains active research links with the Universities of Manchester, Lancaster, and Central Lancashire.

The successful candidate must have:

  1. MRCP or equivalent postgraduate general medical experience.
  2. Full GMC registration.
  3. Ability to gain CCT within 6 months of appointment in Neurology or equivalent training obtained outside the EU leading to entry on the specialist register.
  4. For candidates residing abroad, completion of the necessary language tests (IELTS / OET / NARIC) before applying, meeting UKVI language requirements.
  5. A broad range of clinical experience in neurology and subspecialty expertise.
  6. Evidence of commitment to audit.
