An established Principal Contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a high profile, sensitive scheme near Newton Abbot. They pride themselves on offering clients a collaborative approach built for their needs and this highly anticipated MOJ Scheme is gathering momentum on site hence they need to expand the team to ensure they are delivering the quality needed against the programme requirements.
The Site Managers will provide support to the existing site team, and assume daily responsibility for running sections of the site, overseeing everything from QA and Health and Safety to managing the supply chain, updating the senior management team and collating/maintaining site records and information.
It is essential that the Site Manager has a proven track record at managing projects within a Tier 1 contracting environment and has good communication skills, excellent Health & Safety awareness, and the usual site certification (SMSTS, a Black or Gold CSCS card & First aid at work). You'll also need experience of dealing with programme management, both in terms of short term programming with daily and weekly task management but whilst also having a wider appreciation of the next 3-6 months or so. Previous experience on MOJ schemes would be highly advantageous.
Due to the sensitive project, you will need a recent DBS and we will need to process a BPSS and work towards EL1 Clearance which will be essential for the role. This contract will commence imminently for an initial 8 weeks with potential for extension. A competitive rate (UMB or PAYE) is available.
