RF Design Engineer

Who we need:

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with RF experience to join our engineering team.

Where it is:

The role is office-based in Witham, Essex, working with a small team, and collaborating with our facilities based in Corby (Northamptonshire) and Tennessee (USA).

What you’ll do:

• Product design, using SolidWorks to create components, assemblies, engineering drawings, prototyping, and tooling.
• Assign part numbers and descriptions in accordance with company engineering standards.
• Create and maintain part numbers and bills of Materials within E-Max ERP System.
• Assist with costing and labour estimation for cable assemblies and components.
• Provide technical support for the sales team and manufacturing team.
• Undertake production engineering projects with a view to continuous improvement and cost reduction.
• Maintaining drawing & part number databases.
• Create and maintain documentation for engineering procedures and processes.

What we want:

The successful candidate would be passionate about their work, have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate well with customers and co-workers. Be creative, enquiring and be capable of problem solving. Experience of RF/Microwave connector design is essential and cryogenic component design would be an advantage but not essential. A willingness to travel between sites and to customer sites as the role grows.

When you do it:

Normal hours of work are Monday-Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 1:00pm.
