Platform Operations Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven systems engineer that wishes to make the move into cyber security platform operations.

The applicant should be highly proficient with virtual & physical infrastructure operations, have a good understating of networks as well as experience working on service desks in a customer facing role part of a fast-paced environment.

The applicant should have a diverse background in the management & configuration of various types of software platforms and is a quick learner when it comes to exposure to new systems and working methodologies.

Strong communication skills, intermediate Linux skills & solid proficiency in Microsoft`s common stack of software is a requirement.

Requirements

• Strong systems configuration & administration background with various business specific applications
• Strong Windows and VMWare skills
• Solid understanding of networking and utilising this knowledge in troubleshooting
• Basic understanding of Azure, AWS & cloud configurations
• Strong, methodical troubleshooting skills when working with unfamiliar environments and platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• LogRhythm experience
• Security experience / background
• Intermediate Python & other scripting development skills
