Sitting within the Compliance team and within the wider Risk department, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join a collaborative organisation. The role will require you to help ensure the business meets its ongoing compliance needs with legislative and regulatory requirements. This is a second line role with oversight of first line activities and a responsibility to report on the effectiveness of systems and controls. You will also support managing compliance risks, challenging relevant stakeholders collaboratively, and providing technical advice and guidance to support projects.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Provision of Compliance and Financial Crime expertise to support the change agenda, particularly through delivery of new products and processes.
  • Analysis of legislative and regulatory change to guide the business.
  • Proactively seek out improvements within the business to mitigate regulatory risk.
  • Develop and maintain Compliance frameworks and policies.
  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory notices to the FCA.

The Candidate: My client is looking for a candidate with previous experience of Compliance systems, controls, and frameworks gained within Financial Services. You will possess experience of providing financial crime and compliance oversight, support, advice, and guidance, ideally related to products within banking and investments. Prior experience of working with the FCA, AML, fraud, and other areas of compliance is highly desirable. Strong experience of engaging and working with other internal stakeholders is also key, and a compliance qualification is desirable but not essential.

The Client: My client is an award-winning, purpose-led organisation with a supportive and open culture. This role comes with hybrid working, and you will ideally be in the office 2 or 3 days a week.
