ABOUT THE ROLE
- Collaborate with the Group Style and Interiors Director to originate editorial stories for House Beautiful. Ideas should be planned for multi-channel publishing and repurposing, aiming to drive reach and engagement while balancing editorial excellence with brand and commercial priorities.
- Attend planning, scheduling, and production meetings with or on behalf of the Group Style and Interiors Director. Work closely with the HB Editor, Deputy Editor, and Daily Editor from concept to final sign-off on content production.
- Ensure content consistency across print, websites, apps, newsletters, and social media, avoiding duplication across channels.
- Conceptualise and organise editorial shoots under the direction of the Group Style and Interiors Director, creating visual assets for print and digital, including video franchises.
- Support the creation of visual assets and stories that do not require shoots.
- Sourcing low-cost content opportunities, such as book extracts, PR stories, and archive features.
- Maintain understanding of licensing partner relationships and product development, ensuring content supports partner requirements and creating bespoke content when needed.
- Manage a content calendar to oversee cross-platform content.
- Utilise analytics tools and data to refine and enhance House Beautiful’s content strategy.
- Stay updated on home and interior trends to support editorial content, commercial product development, and audience growth.
- Manage budgets and schedules to ensure timely and within-budget content delivery.
- Represent Hearst UK and its values as an ambassador.
- Perform additional duties as required based on skills and experience.
ABOUT YOU
- Aware of current trends to help future-proof and shape the brand.
- Proven ability in idea generation, pitching, and writing high-quality editorial content.
- Strong visual sensibility and understanding of the target audience.
- Experience working on magazine brands at a senior level, with the ability to multitask professionally under pressure.
- Excellent collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to support the Style & Interiors Director and adapt priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with partners and representing brands professionally in external meetings.
