This is a Hybrid Working role with a requirement to attend our London Farringdon office on a regular basis, with flexibility required in line with business needs
Direct mail combines creativity and commercial focus to powerful effect. It engages consumers, builds relationships, and boosts the bottom line for businesses. Marketreach is the Marketing body for mail and works with brands and agencies to promote and prove how mail can work its magic.
Reporting into the Head of Specialist Sales, you will work with Advertising / Media Agencies to expand Direct Mail Media market presence within the Advertising Agency Sector.You will build awareness and relationships with advertising agencies and Marketreach, encouraging active use of our expertise in Mail Media. You will identify break through opportunities with brand teams. You will improve knowledge of Direct Mail Media within the Sector with the ultimate aim of increasing RMGs share of the advertising media market to retain and grow volumes in the overall Letters Market.
About the role
• Responsible for building, developing and managing strong long-term relationships with Advertising Agencies, you’ll act as the primary point of contact for Royal Mail Marketreach.
• You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth in our channels and ensuring client satisfaction
• You will develop new and growth opportunities by presenting the case in favour of mail and our media solutions to advertising agencies
• Position Royal Mail Marketreach as a thought leader by delivering tailored learning sessions, insights, and facilitating training to agencies
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed KPI targets
• Create and deliver compelling presentations, pitches and proposals to Advertising / Media Agencies
• Stay updated with industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities for business growth
• Work very closely with internal teams including The Letter Specialist Team, Planning, Marketing and Channel Development
• Both respond and manage response to ‘Client Briefs’ by self-producing, working with the Letter Specialist Portfolio and New Business Account owners and with the Media and Data Planning Teams
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status, using Salesforce and by providing regular reports to management
About you
To truly excel in role, you will possess the necessary skills and experience listed below –
• Strong understanding of the advertising and media landscape and the needs and priorities of advertising agencies
• Proven experience in Media Sales with a track record in managing agency relationships. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
• Excellent knowledge of all media with working knowledge of Direct Mail and how it would fit into a balanced media strategy
• Exceptional communication, presentation & pitching skills, both verbal and written
• Strong commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset and exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent networking skills with relevant established agency network both face to face and via social media
• Ability and experience in building and maintain relationships with clients at all levels
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, with a growth-oriented mindset and entrepreneurial spirit. Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
