Parkinson Lee Executive Search are currently recruiting a Financial Controller for a Professional Services client of ours in Leeds. This is initially a 12-month FTC to provide robust financial management during a period of change and transformation.
As interim Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company's financial operations. You will ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting and play a key role in strategic financial planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Day to day management of financial operations.
- Preparation and presentation of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
- Lead the month end and year end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision making.
- Improve and maintain internal control and financial policies, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for process optimisation.
- Act as the key point of contact for external auditors, supporting audit preparations and addressing queries.
- Supporting the Exec Finance team with ad hoc financial projects, including system projects, financial modelling and strategic initiatives.
Parkinson Lee are keen to speak with Financial Controllers that have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with strong team management experience and at least 7-10 years' relevant experience within a large corporate environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial reporting and compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate finance teams through periods of change and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
This 12-month fixed term contract offers a competitive six figure salary plus car allowance, bonus and other attractive benefits including competitive pension contributions and private healthcare. With fantastic offices well located for those across the West Yorkshire region, this business offers hybrid working and you can expect to be in the office around 3 times per week.
