Job Description:
The Fleming Initiative is a partnership between Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Its aim is to combat antimicrobial resistance through research, behaviour change, public engagement, and policy to protect health security globally.
This role leads the Behavioural Science workstream within the Fleming Initiative and supports the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London.
The Behavioural Science Lead will develop and deliver three workstreams, support junior researchers, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide behavioural science and public engagement support across projects.
The first workstream involves designing behaviourally informed interventions with the Behavioural Insights Team to improve antimicrobial stewardship among the public. The second involves supervising a PhD candidate to study online video content\’s impact on antimicrobial stewardship in partnership with YouTube Health. The third involves leading a team to co-design an educational initiative for school-aged students, overseeing its development and evaluation.
Public engagement and co-design are central to all workstreams, and the Lead will ensure these methodologies are maintained and delivered.
We seek a candidate with post-doctoral experience in applied behavioural science, intervention design, behavioural experiments, and public engagement. Experience with qualitative and mixed methods research, grant writing, and strategic oversight of research programs is essential.
