My client, a growing innovative multidisciplinary construction consultancy with several offices across the South of England, is looking to hire a motivated Building Surveyor to assist with an ever-increasing workload within their Bristol office. The successful candidate will be required to act on behalf of both public and private sector clients across a complete range of projects. You are likely to be a Chartered Surveyor, a Graduate with a Degree in Building Surveying, or an experienced Building Surveyor capable of demonstrating the required commercial experience for the role, someone looking for the next step in their career.

The role encompasses a mixture of traditional building surveying and project management across a variety of different sectors, including but not limited to education, social housing, local authority, property development, ministry of defence, and conservation. No one day will be the same, and the successful candidate will be expected to work both as part of an experienced team of Building Surveyors as well as being entrusted to take sole responsibility for managing their own projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will be relied upon to help promote the practice and continue to develop and maintain client relationships. Limited travel will be expected to be undertaken across the region to fulfil the requirements of the role and the diverse range of work. The successful candidate will be expected to be proficient in the use of AutoCAD as well as having at least a basic understanding of professional services.

  • Undertaking refurbishment projects ranging from £50,000 to £2,000,000
  • Manage D&B new build projects
  • Client management
