The Opportunity: At Leonardo, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Support Engineer/Support Engineer to join our team within the Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) line of business. The CS3 line of business operates across the UK, providing innovative and invaluable support solutions to our customers. We help to ensure the availability of front-line capability wherever and whenever required. This role is based at RAF Coningsby within the Components Maintenance Facility (CMF) working alongside the BAE Systems teams. We are looking for someone who thrives in a high-paced pressurised environment under minimal supervision in a challenging technical domain in order to support the UK's fleet.
What you will do as a Senior Support Engineer/Support Engineer:
- Carry out Standard Serviceability Testing, Fault finding and repair on RADAR, Defensive Aids Sub-System (DASS) and Avionics equipment.
- Routine calibration, general maintenance on Automatic Test Equipment.
- Other Bay related tasks within the CMF on the direction of the CMF management.
- Liaise daily with the CMF Manager, Bay Lead and Logistics team working with BAE Systems teams as required to understand the priorities for repair activities.
- Work with the management of the UK aspect of the spares supply system and consumables, immediately highlighting any deficiencies to CMF Manager, Bay Lead and Logistics team.
- Meet all the contractual and local requirements associated with Governance, SHE, Training and general good engineering practices.
- Identification and reporting of risks and opportunities for the business its operations and support to subsequent activities.
- Provide support drafting and compliance of Maintenance Approved Organisation scheme (MAOS) Approved documentation.
- Adhere to documented methods of work as defined by the Leonardo Joint Avionics Service (JAS) Contract and Coningsby CMF Manager.
- Approved procedures and governance using Technical data within a MAA Pt145 approved setting.

It would be preferable if you have any of the following:
- Experience with Technical Diagnostic Test Equipment including MS Software Packages.
- Previous experience of working within an Avionics second line Maintenance Facility and/or working on Typhoon aircraft RADAR and DASS systems.
- ONC (Ordinary National Certificate) in an electrical, digital electronics, Avionics discipline or equivalent/relevant experience.
Security Clearance: You must be eligible for full security clearance.
