I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, Top 200 law firm with offices across Lincolnshire and the Midlands. With a history dating back to 1856, this firm has built a reputation for delivering high-quality legal and wealth management services, while maintaining a strong, client-focused culture.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Law Solicitor or Legal Executive to join this respected firm’s forward-thinking Family Department. This role offers flexible working options and a supportive team environment.

The successful candidate will be confident, structured, and experienced across a wide range of family law matters, including:

  • Divorce and separation
  • Financial matters/proceedings following relationship breakdown
  • Private law children matters
  • Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
  • Cohabitation and separation agreements

You’ll also have the opportunity to work closely with the marketing team to build your client base and raise the department’s profile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of family matters with minimal supervision
  • Provide an exceptional standard of service to existing and new clients
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Family Department
  • Maintain financial control of your matters, including billing and cash flow
  • Keep up to date with legal developments and regulatory requirements
  • Support business development and cross-referrals across the wider firm
  • Ensure compliance with the firm’s quality and risk procedures

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Qualified and experienced Family Solicitor or Legal Executive
  • Broad experience in family law including divorce, finances, and children matters
  • Confident working independently and managing a caseload
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
  • Commercially aware and client-focused

Desirable:

  • Experience with high-net-worth clients, including agricultural and business interests
  • Advocacy experience and public speaking skills
  • Marketing and business development exposure
  • A client following or established network
