A1 Personnel is on the lookout for a skilled and reliable Plant Mechanic to join our client’s team at their busy Beccles depot. If you’re someone who thrives in a hands-on role and takes pride in keeping heavy machinery in top-notch condition, we want to hear from you!

What’s the Role?

You’ll be working both in our fully-equipped depot workshop and out in the field, tackling a wide range of plant repairs and maintenance tasks. From excavators to crushers, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring that every piece of kit runs like clockwork.

Equipment You’ll Be Working On:

  • Excavators
  • Loaders
  • Dump Trucks
  • Cranes
  • Telehandlers
  • Conveyors
  • 4 Tonne Crushers

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

  • Servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of plant machinery
  • Pre-delivery inspections to company standards
  • Working from your own initiative and diagnosing faults efficiently
  • Liaising with the Depot Manager and Rental Team to keep operations running smoothly
  • Completing all job cards, paperwork, and time sheets accurately and on time
  • Occasionally attending site-based breakdowns and repairs

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic (or similar heavy plant machinery background)
  • Sound mechanical knowledge across a variety of plant makes and models
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Health and Safety conscious with a can-do attitude
  • Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Full set of your own tools
