Due to increasing workload within this multidisciplinary property consultancy, our client is looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor to join and strengthen their London office team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-respected tier 1 consultancy with a great reputation in the industry.
The successful candidate will be involved in both new build and refurbishment projects ranging from £1M to £50M in a variety of sectors such as commercial, industrial, healthcare and education. You will be managing building surveying commissions, including surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice, and construction projects for new builds, renovations and maintenance works.
Responsibilities:
- Positively engaging with customers and developing strong working relationships.
- Provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of projects.
- Analyse and report on building defects.
- Handling claims and negotiations with loss adjusters leading to the preparation of drawings and specifications for remedial work.
- Prepare schedules of dilapidations.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree qualified - RICS approved.
- MRICS Chartered.
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience of delivery of building surveying tasks.
- Good understanding of JCT contracts.
- Ability to lead and support junior team members.
