Consultant in General Medicine with an interest in Acute Medicine

Triple West Medical has been assigned by a South West England based NHS Trust to help recommend a Consultant in General Medicine with an interest in Acute Medicine for a substantive or 12 month NHS Fixed Term position.

This post\’s main responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the medical take
2. Performing post-take (intra-take) ward rounds
3. Making specialty referrals
4. Caring for short-stay inpatients for up to 48 hours on the EAU
5. Facilitating timely discharge and follow-up plans
6. Following patients up as ambulatory care patients when required

The post holder will also be asked to undertake roles such as:

1. Educational supervision of students
2. Helping with Clinical Audits & Governance
3. Administration/Budgetary Responsibilities for the department
