The Company
A world-leading engineering company is looking for a CNC Setter Operator to join the machine shop.
The Role
To set and operate CNC machines to meet required specifications and uphold company quality and performance standards.
Duties:
- Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines to the required specifications.
- Ensure accurate loading and unloading of machines using manual or mechanical hoists where necessary.
- Interpret engineering drawings and use inspection/measuring equipment to verify products meet company standards.
- Maintain accountability for the quality of finished products.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines as needed.
- Keep machines and work areas clean and organized daily.
- Operate manual machines as required by workload or company needs.
- Allocate and store components properly within the factory storage areas.
- Complete relevant departmental paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Adhere to all company Health and Safety regulations.
Working hours are 7:30 am to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 7:00 am to 14:30 on a Friday.

Experience setting and operating CNC machines
Able to read and work from engineering drawings
Competent in using inspection and measurement tools
Experienced in using manual lathes
An engineering qualification would be beneficial

The salary offered for this position is £12- £15 per hour plus overtime to candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
