Direct Tax Manager – Retail

We are exclusively working with this well-known retail business which is searching for a Direct Tax Manager to join their established tax team in London.

As a Direct Tax Manager , you will work with a team of approximately 8 tax professionals and report to the Director and Head of Tax. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing and submitting direct tax returns with the assistance of advisors (UK and overseas).
2. Ensuring accurate end-to-end accounting and reporting, preparing tax papers and forecasts, and maintaining an accurate balance sheet.
3. Managing and collaborating closely with advisors to complete transfer pricing documentation and strategies.
4. Assisting the tax transformation lead to streamline and automate tax reporting processes.

This role involves working within a collegiate, diverse team committed to implementing best-in-class in-house tax practices and partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Candidates should be ACCA, ACA, or CTA qualified, with experience in corporate tax and tax accounting. While transfer pricing experience is not essential, familiarity with TP will be advantageous. Excellent project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders are crucial.

Applicants requiring sponsorship will be considered, provided they have UK corporate tax experience.

This opportunity offers a salary of £75,000–£80,000 depending on experience, plus a £5,000 cash allowance, a 12% discretionary bonus, and benefits. The team works in the office 2-3 days per week.
