Position

Scone Equine Group is seeking suitable applicants for Associate Equine Veterinarian positions in a seasonal capacity from approximately August through to January, with discussion around an ongoing position to be encouraged. It would suit applicants with at least 2 years graduated experience in mixed or equine practice, but new or recent graduates are encouraged to apply. We have the capacity to accommodate vets with differing levels of experience with a young graduate support and mentoring program, due to the size of our veterinary group. The successful applicants will join the Ambulatory/Reproduction team with diverse responsibilities able to be tailored depending on the applicant’s strengths and experience. The role involves working within a team of vets servicing the Scone region of the Upper Hunter Valley, with possible opportunities in the neighbouring Denman or Murrurundi areas. We expect the afterhours roster to be 1 in 3 or better with adequate back up and second opinion from experienced and specialist veterinarians. We encourage seasonal veterinarians to consider more than 1 season of employment with us to give our clients continuity of care while ensuring the successful applicant can see a clear path for skills and career development over time.
