Responsibilities

The Nursing Assistant assists patients with healthcare needs, activities of daily living, and provides bedside care—including basic nursing procedures—all under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

Salary

The hourly range is $20.66 – $21.28. Compensation details will be discussed during the application process. This range complies with New York State law on Salary Transparency and does not include bonuses or incentives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Completion of Nursing Assistant/Aide course; CNA certification preferred for all new hires as of June 1, 2007
• BLS certification and EKG training/competency required before end of orientation, maintained throughout employment
• Must attend hospital crisis training within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, with 20% sitting and 80% standing/walking
