As an apprentice electrician on site, you\’ll assist qualified electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, learning to read blueprints, and following safety protocols under supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assisting with Installation:
   • Pull cables.
   • Install wiring, electrical equipment, and systems.
   • Install conduits between electrical devices.
2. Maintenance and Repair:
   • Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical systems.
   • Identify and rectify faults on circuits and equipment.
   • Replace components like transformers and switches.
3. Learning and Development:
   • Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
   • Understand engineering drawings and circuit diagrams.
   • Gain practical experience in various electrical tasks.
4. Safety and Compliance:
   • Follow safety protocols and procedures.
   • Ensure electrical installations are safe and meet regulations.
   • Maintain awareness of fire regulations and safety procedures.
5. Other Duties:
   • Assist with sourcing materials and ordering replacement parts.
   • Carry out other electrical maintenance duties.
   • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other tradespeople.
