AirX Jet Support is a leading provider of high-quality aviation maintenance services, dedicated to ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety & Compliance Engineer to join our team.
Main responsibilities and duties
Safety
You will support and uphold our Safety Management System (SMS) by:

  • Promoting and monitoring Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs)
  • Initiating and managing internal investigations related to occurrences and accidents
  • Facilitating hazard identification, safety risk analysis, and reporting
  • Administering safety and fatigue risk surveys
  • Supporting safety training programs to ensure compliance with applicable standards
  • Maintaining accurate safety records, including reports on accidents, incidents, and aviation hazards in line with regulatory requirements
  • Managing and updating the Safety Management Manual (SMM)
  • Conducting scheduled Safety Management Audits as per the AirX Jet Support Audit Plan
  • Liaising with Civil Aviation Authorities and client organizations on audits, inspections, and safety matters

Compliance
In partnership with the Safety & Compliance Manager, you will:

  • Execute internal audits in accordance with the Audit Plan, ensuring full compliance with Part 145 regulations
  • Maintain and update compliance documentation and records in the IQSMS system
  • Manage and control authorisation documents within IQSMS

Required Skills & Experience

  • Formal training in Safety Management Systems (including human factors and MOE Part 145)
  • Strong knowledge of EASA Part 145 requirements and procedures
  • Understanding of EU aviation management system requirements, including SMS and Compliance Monitoring
  • Minimum 12 months\’ experience in Aerospace Safety Management, ideally within an EASA 145 environment
  • Holds an engineering degree, or a CPL/ATPL, Flight Dispatcher qualification, Part 66 license, or completed an approved Aerospace Apprenticeship
  • Familiarity with aircraft types within the AIRXJS Scope of Approval (supported by training or regulatory assessment)
  • Completed a recognized course in auditing techniques or holds a formal auditing qualification
  • Understanding of ICAO Annexes and related standards and recommended practices
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations including EASA AMCs, GMs, and EU Implementing Rules
  • Trained in accident/incident investigation and root cause analysis techniques
  • Trained in hazard identification and risk assessment methods
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with engineering and management teams

Note: The selected candidate\’s qualifications and experience will be subject to approval by EASA and UK CAA, including a Form 4 Interview process.
