Tecserv UK is seeking several full time, permanent service engineers to join their talented engineering team. Founded in 2001, Tecserv UK has become renowned for being a highly successful fire protection, intruder alarm and CCTV installation and maintenance company. Due to winning a significant number of new contracts, Tecserv UK has several vacancies for service engineers to cover the following locations:
- Yorkshire / South Yorkshire – Fire alarm Service Engineer with security knowledge
- Midlands – Leicestershire – Fire alarm Service Engineer with security knowledge
- Bedford – Fire alarm service engineer with security knowledge
- London – Security Engineer with fire knowledge
As a Tecserv UK service engineer, you will visit our client’s premises and carry out inspections, maintenance and repairs to fire alarm systems. There will be some requirement to also maintain intruder alarm, access control and CCTV systems.
Applicants for this role should have the ability to provide the client with premium customer support at all times, as well as working well as part of a team, or individually when required. The ideal candidate for this role will have around 5 years+ experience within the fire alarm industry; security knowledge would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given on specific systems. Other life safety equipment that training will be provided for if required may include, but are not limited to:
- Security systems such as intruder, CCTV and access control
- Air Sampling
Working Hours: Required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Overtime paid at various rates for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
What We Require of an Engineer:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Be able to pass an enhanced CRB check.
- Working knowledge of planned maintenance of Fire Alarm systems.
- Knowledge of BS5839.
- Experience of Security Alarm systems beneficial but not essential.
- FIA or other industry qualifications desirable.
- Experience working with various conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
- Able to complete accurate work sheets and submit electronically to the office in a timely manner.
- Time keeping and organisation.
- Willingness to work hard.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to operate well under pressure.
