We are searching for a committed and experienced Criminal Defence Paralegal to join our busy Criminal Department based at our offices in Sheffield, Rotherham, and Barnsley.

An opportunity has arisen to work within the successful Howells criminal defence department. The ideal candidate will have experience in criminal defence law and representing clients at the police station.

Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Handle a caseload covering the full range of criminal matters.
  • Client Consultation: Provide legal advice and guidance, understanding clients' circumstances and tailoring approaches accordingly.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, regulations, and precedents.
  • Drafting Documents: Prepare and draft legal documents with accuracy and compliance.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain communication with clients regarding case developments and strategies.
