Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per year (DOE), working Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm / 3.30pm on a Friday (days, no shifts). Overtime paid at 1.5x (lots available). The environment is clean and organized. Location: Bradford, easily accessible from the M62 Corridor (Leeds to Huddersfield). The position offers excellent training and working conditions.
We are keen to speak with candidates with experience as Apprentice trained or plant fitters, vehicle or HGV or PSV fitters, hydraulics engineers, coachbuilders, vehicle technicians, etc.
The Mechanical Fitter Role:
- Fitting mechanical installations, including hydraulic/pneumatic components to new vehicles (full training provided).
- The work is varied and interesting, with training due to the bespoke nature of the work.
- Mounting products to vehicles according to build instructions.
- Ensuring all products meet quality requirements.
- Maintaining necessary documents and records per company quality systems.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
- Reporting defects and quality issues immediately.
- Adhering to health and safety procedures.
Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar mechanical or engineering role, with the ability to read basic engineering drawings and work with initiative.
