FM Building Services Team Member – Vertas Group Limited
£24,784.50 per annum
Location: Riverside, Lowestoft
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Shift work: Including evenings and weekends

Main Purpose of the Job

To provide an efficient and effective service across all buildings, promoting security of premises and equipment through adherence to the Service Level Agreement.

Key Relationships

FM Building Services Managers, Facilities Management, Vertas Managers and Staff, All Vertas Building Services Team Members, Internal & External Customers, Contractors.

Main Activities and Responsibilities

• Building Support: Provide porterage services to building occupants, respond to helpdesk requests promptly, and ensure jobs are signed off via the FACTS helpdesk system.
• Security Duties: Responsible for opening and locking all contracted buildings, checking for damages, reporting issues, and responding to alarm problems.
• Conference Support: Assist with setting up meeting and conference rooms, including video conferencing equipment, and monitor parking spaces for visitors.
• Stock Control: Log equipment checkout, follow up on discrepancies, and maintain stock levels of consumables like paper and toners.
• Minor Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out minor repairs following health and safety regulations.

Level of Autonomy and Decision Making

Ensure high-quality support and security services, with ongoing training on systems and safety standards.

Other Information

Shifts rotate weekly, including split shifts, with 24/7 standby and callout on a rota basis (response time of 20 minutes). SIA qualification preferred.
