We are the largest provider of repairs and maintenance, and regeneration services across the UK. Mears provides tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations, and Housing Associations.
About The Role
As a supervisor, you will work alongside Croydon Council in our social housing sector, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.
A Supervisor will support the supervision activities and requirements of our Housing operations, ensuring all supervisory procedures are undertaken efficiently in compliance with company policies, delivering top customer service, and meeting safety, quality, and cost control standards related to budget, profitability, and resource deployment.
Day to day duties
- Overseeing reactive repairs
- Site visits
- Line management duties
- Managing contractors
- Providing updates and ensuring completion of works
- Liaising with clients
- Ensuring work standards are met and first-time quality is achieved
- Completing post-inspections
Role Criteria
- Experience in repairs and maintenance
- Experience in line management
- Experience in social housing
- Experience working with subcontractors
- Good customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- IT literacy
- UK full driving license
Note: All roles require entitlement to work in the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship. To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held a license for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points. All roles are subject to DBS/security checks.
