We are looking for a Senior Transport Supervisor to join us at our WHSmith Swindon site. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective running of our transport function while providing leadership and management to the team to ensure objectives and targets are achieved. This position is being offered on a permanent basis. You will be working Monday to Friday, with hours from 05:00 to 14:00.

We are looking to offer a salary of up to £36,001 per annum, along with 33 days of annual leave (including bank holidays). What You’ll Do on a Typical Day
- Provide leadership and effective management of the team to achieve objectives and targets
- Develop effective communication channels within and between departments to meet objectives within deadlines
- Coordinate and prioritize activities across shifts and business streams to meet customer service requirements
- Maintain accurate records and plan to ensure targets are met within financial constraints
- Adhere to Health and Safety, Fire, and Security regulations to ensure a safe working environment
What You Need to Succeed at GXO
- A proven track record at a supervisory or management level within a complex, fast-paced transport operation
- Excellent knowledge of driving compliance and related regulations; a Managers CPC qualification would be ideal!
- Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills, with previous managerial experience
- A strong personality capable of effectively managing drivers, driving operational excellence, and challenging the status quo
