Accountable to: Safety Officer

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time

Hours: Minimum of 16 hours per week to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required

Salary: £10,186.66 per annum

Location: The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton

The Role

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Cleaning Assistant to join our Operations Team! You will undertake regular cleaning of Club offices and other facilities here at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton and be responsible for any assigned area’s cleanliness and hygiene.

To give you a snapshot of the tasks involved in this role, you will be:

  • Cleaning, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping surfaces and fixtures in site areas
  • Taking out any rubbish/waste
  • Refilling and restocking cleaning supplies/toiletries
  • Maintaining cleaning products and ordering new supplies when necessary
  • Maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs)
  • Undertaking intensive monthly deep cleaning duties
  • Ensuring that routine inspection and maintenance activities are performed and recorded
  • Informing the Safety Officer of any occurring problems or needs for repairs
  • Occasionally carrying out minor maintenance tasks such as replacing displaced toilet seats and unclogging sinks

About you

Amongst other criteria, to be successful in our team you’ll have:

  • Demonstrable experience working in a similar role
  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Detail orientated with good organisational, customer service, time management and planning skills
  • Honesty, trustworthiness and a can-do attitude
  • The ability to proactively work on your own initiative, yet also be comfortable and collaborative working as part of a team
  • Organisational skills and punctuality with a friendly and approachable demeanour

You will need to be eligible to work in the UK.
