Responsibilities
The Forklift Operator moves material, supplies and finished goods to designated areas utilizing a sit-down forklift and loads product onto trailers according to all Berry Global ISO and other established program requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pulls, loads and moves merchandise according to pick/ load sheets and all documents specific to each type of merchandise.
- Uses equipment appropriate to each type of movement.
- Will perform cycle counting, re-packaging of product and inventory consolidation duties.
- Assists in physical inventories.
- Will perform daily cleaning assignments in the warehouse.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have 1 year of previous forklift operation (sit-down preferred)
- Must have at least 1 year previous warehouse experience in loading/unloading trucks
- Ability to do functional math (adding, subtracting, multiplying and division)
- Experience working with; inventories, pick sheets, shipping and/or receiving of product
- Must be dependable, reliable and mature enough to handle equipment safely and sensibly
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English
- Ability to perform certain tasks such as lifting, working 8 hour rotating shifts, and operate in a non-climate controlled facility.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, to included weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 35 lbs to waist level
- Ability to handle and pull totes with fork truck.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, or stoop during entire shift.
- Must be able to perform job with or without reasonable accommodations.
