Due to growth, we are looking for a Solicitor (Ideally 4-8 PQE) to join our well-regarded team in Southampton, working on a range of commercial disputes work. Our Southampton Commercial & Private Client Litigation team, led by Partners Owen Williams and Cathy Harris, is consistently ranked highly in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. Our team has considerable experience in resolving disputes across a wide range of industries and sectors.

Our Southampton office has grown substantially over recent years and now has around 90 staff providing a wide range of legal services to corporate and private clients. Situated a few minutes from the M27, north east of the city, the office is easily accessible and offers free parking.

Day to day, you'll succeed in this role by: As a member of this motivated but highly collegiate team, you will enjoy a variety of dispute resolution work. The team handles claims including complex contractual disputes, partnership and shareholder disagreements, professional negligence, contested probate matters, defamation, fraud, and other litigation cases. You will manage your own caseload across our specialisms and support Partners and Associates on more complex, large-scale claims. Beyond your caseload, we expect you to engage in business development activities and contribute as a supportive team member. It is essential that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.

This Role Is Right For You If: You ideally have 4-8 years of qualified experience in Commercial Litigation. You are proactive, flexible, and able to work both independently and within a team, effectively prioritising multiple projects. You should have general commercial litigation experience. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and a passion for delivering high-quality client service are essential. You should demonstrate initiative, foresight, and excellent client skills, with a desire to build your career and reputation within our friendly and supportive team. To succeed, you will be driven, ambitious, and eager to develop your expertise within our esteemed team.
