Salary: Up to £16.80 per hour + overtime paid at 1.5 = earnings of £38,000 and upwards achievable.
Contracted hours per week: 39hrs
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am to 12:30pm
Role: Permanent
We are now looking for an additional welder to join the team working.
The ideal candidate / Welder may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Previous experience in MMA and some TIG would be beneficial
- NVQ level 3, apprentice trained in welding highly beneficial
- Competent working with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium
Overview of duties:
- Welding of complex, high integrity fabrications in a variety of materials such as carbon steels, aluminium, stainless steels, duplex with the occasional exotic alloy component.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping to ensure the on-going cleanliness of the facilities.
- Ensure that route card instructions are followed and that all documentation is completed to company procedures.
- Fully conversant with engineering drawings and weld symbols.
- Proactively identify and suggest improvement opportunities.
- Ensure all working hours are accurately logged.
