YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides fun, stimulating and safe care for primary and secondary school children before and after school. At OSHC, children have the opportunity to participate in cooking, sport, music, art, dance and so much more.
The Y Queensland's childcare services has been at the heart of Australian communities for more than 40 years, with our first early learning service opening in Brisbane in 1977 after we identified the need for childcare that focused on helping children grow in body, mind and spirit.
We are currently recruiting for OSHC Educators on a casual basis to join our YMCA Rainworth Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service located in Bardon.
About the service:
- YMCA Rainworth Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located in the beautiful leafy green suburb of Bardon.
- Our centre is located on the Bardon Rainworth State School Campus where we have our own designated outside of school hours care building.
- We respect all cultures and pride ourselves on the inclusive environment that we have developed at YMCA Rainworth.
- Our building allows for the kids to play with a huge variety of educational, engaging and fun toys, games and crafts.
- It is fitted with a full kitchen, in which our staff make nutritious meals for the kids every single day.
- Our building has a connected back garden that has been specially designed by the staff and students to boost creativity, adventure and their understanding for environment.
Our services range from Before/After School Care to Vacation care that goes from 6am-6pm. Our programs are thoroughly and thoughtfully designed weekly to incorporate multiple OSHC frameworks that ensures the kids are being looked after and enjoy their time whilst in our care.
About the role:
As an OSHC Educator you are responsible for the care of children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. You will assist in running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children, such as science experiments, outdoor games, painting and musical activities.

- You hold or be willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- You hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one
