Our Platform Engineering team builds secure automation capabilities that enable our application teams and engineers to unveil their products to the world. Our goal is to create platforms that make products smart, secure, and fast, while minimising toil. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our London practice.
You will be working hands-on in the cloud with some of the newest technologies out there. You will build in AWS and have the opportunity to work with Azure on future projects as well as using a wide variety of tools across the DevOps landscape.
Life As a Senior Platform Engineer
As a Platform Engineer, you will implement complex automation tasks and cloud architecture components for a given solution. Your role is to provide velocity for platform and environment enablement for developers through leveraging a DevOps mindset and focus. Specifically, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure and resilient cloud environments using AWS or Azure.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable and repeatable application deployments.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes by using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Build and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring efficient deployment and scaling.
- Implement end-to-end monitoring, logging and alerting solutions to ensure application health and performance.
- Support development teams with the integration of applications with cloud services.
- Stay current with the latest Cloud technologies, best practices and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Promote our people-first mentality, encourage well-being, and be an advocate for diversity & inclusion across our teams.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable solutions in cloud environments such as AWS or Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native services.
- Good understanding of DevOps principles, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure automation.
- A good understanding of cloud architecture, services and deployment models.
- Proficient with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI or similar tools.
- Working knowledge with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
