Role Overview
The role involves working in the assembly and fabrication of large X-ray equipment with detailed component assembly, carried out in a semi-cleanroom environment. The production room cleaner will be responsible for the daily cleaning operations in the chemistry lab, clean room, assembly area, and shop floor.
Responsibilities
- Thorough cleaning of the clean room according to clean room protocols.
- Regular cleaning of other production areas as assigned by the duty manager.
- Cleaning, stocking, and supplying designated facility areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning ceiling vents and equipment.
- Maintaining a controlled environment to avoid particulate contamination and ensure high cleanliness standards.
- Supporting detailed component cleaning, leak checking of parts, and general assembly support such as component cleaning and preparation.
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the chemistry lab.
Key Skills
- Discipline to maintain best working practices within the chemistry lab.
- Operate in accordance with health and safety practices, wearing PPE and handling chemicals safely.
- Monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed, possibly recommending changes based on usage data.
Qualifications
- Experience as a cleaner in a clean room, chemistry lab, assembly, manufacturing, or factory environment is preferable.
- Experience with component assembly processes is advantageous.
- Ability to work well within a team, supporting colleagues.
- Experience handling chemicals, lower-level testing, and assembly.
