Job Spec

Mosaic is looking for a junior underwriter to work within our cyber team in London. This is a rare opportunity to take a meaningful role in a market-leading team and further develop your career.

Responsibilities

• Support and learn analysis of risk, price setting, and policy review for international cyber and tech E&O risks
• Set portfolio strategy for all cyber and technology E&O business written by London unit, including engagement in business-planning process
• Work with all regions to develop business, including identifying new distribution, products and relationships, including global distribution strategy oversight
• Help build and grow our reinsurance and SCM relationships. Build and manage relationships domestically and internationally, including brokers and cover-holders
• Lead ad hoc strategic projects
• Represent Mosaic in client meetings
• Underwrite international and US cyber and technology E&O business
• Negotiate with brokers on new and renewal business

Skills, Experience and Education

• Ideally one to three years’ experience in a combination of relevant roles, preferably including cyber underwriting or broking
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Highly focused, enthusiastic, and creative thinker
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to negotiate with sophisticated advisors and clients
• Ability to be proactive, work independently, and make decisions
• General knowledge of and ability to comprehend cyber insurance products
• Competency in policy drafting
