Location: Basildon, involving frequent travel across sites as and when required. We’re looking for an experienced and organised Stores and Site Manager to take ownership of the overall management of our storage and office facility. This includes overseeing planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), ensuring regulatory compliance, managing security, room bookings, and maintaining high standards in health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE). You’ll lead the development and delivery of our Maintenance and Inventory Strategy through effective stores management programmes. With responsibility for the coordination, procurement, and oversight of all stock-related matters, you'll ensure that critical assets are supported with the right stock to operate safely, efficiently, and within budget. Regular monitoring and optimisation of stock levels will be a key part of your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading on the creation of all new Stock Requests, uploading that information into the system and maintaining the Master Data.
- Assisting in the requisition process for new and existing stock on behalf of all sites.
- Leading in the practical management of a facility, including layout, H & S issues compliance and correct stock identification.
- Ensuring effective up to date operational and maintenance communication on all stores related matters.
- Compliance with all relevant CMIs and CEMS, specifically Inventory Management, across CES to show all relevant Internal Control policies are met.
- Undertake Gap analysis of the current Inventory situation and lead on identification of critical spares and stock levels to optimise efficiency and control costs.
- Support the Operational teams to ensure safe and professional methods and systems of work are employed in all stores related activities by team members and contractors.
- Work closely with the Site Team and Internal Teams and external suppliers, to obtain spares and consumables in a commercial environment.
- Proactively working to seek alternative suppliers to drive down operations costs for logistics.
What we need from you
- Extensive proven experience of working in a similar role with an understanding/appreciation of electrical/mechanical engineering.
- A proactive approach to Health and Safety.
- Planning and organising skills to include effective prioritising, resource management and a long-term strategic focus.
- The confidence to challenge established practices, suggesting imaginative solutions to problems.
- Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships with the ability to effectively communicate with EON staff and contractors.
- A working knowledge of PC based computer systems especially SAP and Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt quickly to changes to those systems.
- A full clean driving licence & Fork Lift Licence.
- Ability to Manage the facility and stock at all times.
