Join to apply for the Technical AV Project Manager role at Tower Health. Our client is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Technical AV Project Manager to join their team in Hertfordshire. This customer-facing role involves managing projects from quotation to delivery, leading on-site teams, and supporting business development.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in lighting, audio, or video system design and implementation, with deep technical knowledge in at least one area. You will be a hands-on leader, confident in managing system deployments and maintaining high standards throughout.

You must be enthusiastic, eloquent, and comfortable producing quotes, presenting to clients, handling budgets, managing logistics, and growing/developing business opportunities. Experience within the production industry, a good range of professional contacts, and a positive attitude are essential. You should possess excellent organizational skills, be highly computer literate, and familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humor are also important.

Due to the nature of the live events industry, working hours will be flexible, including evenings and weekends. A full driving license is highly beneficial. Responsibilities
  • Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, exceeding client expectations.
  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, briefs, and deadlines.
  • Attend site visits and client meetings to develop projects collaboratively.
  • Interpret project briefs and work with internal specialists to translate them into technical designs and equipment specifications covering lighting, audio, video, rigging, and scenic elements.
  • Accurately cost and budget each project using rental management software.
  • Liaise with clients during project development.
  • Keep specifications and budgets up to date.
  • Create technical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Prepare project paperwork and Health & Safety documentation.
  • Manage logistics across multiple projects for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure proper resourcing.
  • Apply creative problem-solving and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Supervise onsite project delivery, managing all aspects from load-in to load-out.
  • Manage onsite staff and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Build positive relationships with venues and clients.
  • Complete projects with debriefs and follow-up.
  • Develop long-term client relationships.
  • Seek business development opportunities.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Continuously improve technical, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Share expertise to develop team skills.
