Are you a dynamic and compassionate Interim Deputy Head Teacher or Head Teacher wanting to join a small, well-run Primary School where you will be working closely with an experienced Executive Head Teacher? I am seeking an experienced Interim Deputy Head Teacher or Head Teacher to join this primary school for at least 2 Terms, starting in September, but this could be extended to the full academic year.

As the Interim Head of School, you will provide inspirational leadership and a strong unifying presence, ensuring that our school continues to flourish as a welcoming and supportive environment. You will work closely with the Executive Head Teacher, Teachers, parents, and governors to strengthen relationships and enhance the school's ethos. Additionally, our school supports SEND pupils, so experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) will be advantageous to ensure every child receives the inclusive education they deserve, but it’s not essential.

Job Role:

  • Lead and inspire staff, students, and parents to foster a strong, connected school community.
  • Provide strategic leadership and ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with governors and external stakeholders to continue driving the school's progress.
  • Ensure inclusivity and excellence for all students, including those with SEND, providing the necessary support systems for their success.
  • Promote a positive and forward-thinking approach to school development and pastoral care.

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within primary or secondary schools.
  • Strong ability to unite and engage with a school community.
  • Knowledge and experience in SEND education.

  • Passionate about creating a nurturing and supportive environment for all learners.
