Are you an experienced and passionate Maths teacher who thrives on supporting young people with complex needs? We’re looking for an inspiring educator to join our dedicated team in a specialist setting that provides high-quality education for students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Our secondary provision supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. We use a trauma-informed, restorative approach, alongside PACE and emotion coaching strategies, to help learners overcome barriers and reach their potential. Our curriculum is inclusive, personalised, and focused on long-term success—preparing students aged up to 18 for adulthood with dignity, purpose, and hope.

Required:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A current, enhanced DBS check
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and a creative approach to making abstract concepts accessible
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and procedures
  • The ability to establish consistent, respectful boundaries while building meaningful relationships with students
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to working as part of a close-knit team
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a calm approach to challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
