Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is a faith-based humanitarian relief and development organisation working to save and transform the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Established in 1984, with an active presence in over 45 countries, we strive to make the world a better and fairer place for those affected by poverty, conflict, and natural disasters. IRUK’s focus is on strengthening effective funding, mobilising for change through advocacy and awareness-raising, and enhancing programme development and delivery. IRUK collaborates with various partners, including governments, NGOs, local authorities, and grassroots communities.
The Direct Marketing Manager will have operational and strategic responsibility for developing and implementing IRUK’s direct marketing programme. This includes managing key channels such as Email, SMS, Direct Mail, OOH, and DRTV. The postholder will ensure the delivery of cross-channel, high-profile marketing campaigns that drive action and improve supporter retention.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent
- Professional qualification in Marketing
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of budget management and ROI analysis
- Capacity to plan multiple campaigns annually
- Knowledge of current marketing trends and strategies
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects
- Experience in marketing strategy, techniques, and research methods
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to drive creative ideas and development
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting data
