My client is a new brand for our used car division, and we have an amazing opportunity for an experienced MOT Tester/Technician to join our talented team.
The Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester will be confident in conducting all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repairs, as well as conducting MOTs. You will enjoy working on a variety of cars, maintain a professional attitude, and ensure the highest quality of service. Main Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle preparation, servicing, maintenance, and repair on a variety of makes and models
- Utilise your technical knowledge to inspect the engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment
- Carry out DVSA vehicle testing
- Repair and replace broken or defective parts to resolve vehicle defects
- Liaise with customers where necessary
- Road test vehicles to check for faults and repairs
- Support other Technicians in the Workshop
- Follow checklists to ensure all procedures are completed
- Complete all documentation to the required standard
The Ideal Candidate
- Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
- Excellent team player and communication skills
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping
- A full UK driving license
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent, or relevant experience
- A current valid MOT License is an advantage but not essential; the company will cover the cost if needed
Hours: 40 hours per week, spread over 5 days across 7 days, with a day off mid-week and a Sunday rota.
