Coopman Search is delighted to be the exclusive partner to an established PE firm in the heart of London as they look to hire a Senior Accountant as part of their global expansion.
This role will play a pivot role in the development of existing team members, acting as the number 2 in the corporate accounting function, with great exposure to budgeting and business facing duties.
The core responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:

• Supporting the corporate team and mentoring of two team members;
• Manage balance sheets, including reconciliation of key accounts;
• Liaising with various international offices to reconcile intercompany transactions and treatments;
• Annual audit for the group / corporate entities, includes liaising with auditors and resolving queries throughout for multiple jurisdictions;
• Assistance with the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the Investment Adviser;
• Analysis of variances against budget as part of monthly management accounts and quarterly reforecasting;
• Preparation of tax reporting information;
• Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns and identification of VAT treatment of transactions; and
• Provide support on ad hoc projects to help make the function ‘best-in-class’.

Experience Required

• Qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent
• Collaborative team player with experience with managing full set accounts
• Looking for a chance to really shape the direction of an expanding team
• Intermediate excel user
