Are you passionate about supporting young children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)? GSL Education is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth. This role offers the opportunity to work with talented educators who are deeply committed to providing children with the best possible foundation for their future. You will be supporting PMLD learners across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 within a well-resourced, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities of an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Support students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) throughout the school day.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support, ensuring personalised care and attention.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and organisation.
  • Promote a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning space.
  • Contribute to students’ personal, social, and educational development.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting Early Years or SEN students (including via placement, mainstream, or specialist settings).
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am to 3:45pm).
  • Positive, patient, and nurturing approach.
  • Eligible to work in the UK (valid visa required).
  • Knowledge of PECS or Makaton is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
