The Opportunity

As a Collecting Officer, you will join a flexible and motivated regional team. You will be trained on how to collect legally defensible samples using various methods (e.g., urine, breath, hair, oral fluid) at customer locations. Collecting Officers are customer-focused and must follow our chain of custody process diligently during all collections.

• Isle of Wight

What You’ll Do

• Conduct specimen collections competently, following procedures and customer requirements to ensure a high-quality service.
• Be available to attend collections during day, evening, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
• Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota, responding promptly and arriving on site within 2 hours.
• Stay current with processes through reading, acknowledgment, and attending audits.
• Perform any other duties as directed by management.

Required Qualifications

• Educated to National Standards.
• Good verbal, written, and communication skills.
• IT literacy with basic skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work.
• Ability to follow set processes to ensure correct outcomes.
• Driving license and own vehicle.
• Continuously review your collections to meet and exceed customer expectations, providing feedback for improvements.
• Communicate effectively, ensuring customers are informed and updated about their collections.
• Understand the impact of your actions and omissions, ensuring positive outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement process updates or feedback promptly to support the long-term success of the Collection Network.
