Edward Vinson Ltd has been growing fruit in the South East of England for over 150 years . Were proud to operate across Breeding , Propagation , and Commercial Field Production , and during peak season (May to October), we welcome around 900 seasonal staff across eight accommodation sites .

Were now seeking a Health & Safety Assistant to help drive our safety culture across all operations.

What You\’ll Be Doing

In this new and exciting role, youll work closely with our Head of Operations & Infrastructure to support and improve health and safety across multiple locations. Youll conduct inspections, support training, manage safety documentation, and contribute to a positive safety culture throughout the business.

Your Day-to-day Will Include

• Carrying out health & safety inspections and producing reports
• Coordinating and tracking statutory and in-house H&S training
• Supporting the organisation of H&S Committee meetings
• Working closely with managers and contractors on-site safety compliance
• Updating risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Managing safety equipment, PPE, and signage
• Investigating accidents and near-misses, and ensuring accurate reporting
• Supporting safety projects and initiatives across multiple sites
• Occasional travel to support our Rosie Plants team in Bulgaria
• What We\’re Looking For

Were looking for a motivated and organised individual whos passionate about health and safety and confident working across busy operational environments.

Essential

• IOSH Managing Safely (minimum requirement)
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and with multiple teams
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desirable

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
• Industry experience (agriculture, horticulture, food production, or similar)

Additional training: First Aid, Manual Handling, Working at Height

Travel Requirements

You must be willing to travel regularly between our Faversham-based sites and accommodation locations. Access to a personal vehicle may be required when a company car is not available.
