As Team Coordinator in Newcastle, you will represent Coquet Trust to the people we support, their families, and their wider circles of support, as well as external agencies. As a leader, you will ensure that your team delivers person-centered care, empowering individuals to lead fulfilling, independent lives. Your role will be key to supporting incredible, unique individuals, helping them thrive while leading and inspiring a dedicated team of Support Workers.
Support Responsibilities:
- Support individuals in accordance with their person-centered plans, ensuring their needs, goals, and preferences are at the heart of everything you and your team do;
- Empower individuals to become active members of their community, fostering independence and life skills;
- Provide hands-on support for daily living activities such as shopping, meal preparation, maintaining their home, and budgeting;
- Lead your team to promote positive behaviour support and emotional regulation techniques;
- Safeguard vulnerable individuals by following Coquet Trust's Safeguarding procedures;
- Assist individuals in accessing volunteering or employment opportunities where appropriate.
Senior Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact in the absence of the Support Manager;
- Lead and inspire your team through effective supervision, clear communication, and role modelling best practices;
- Oversee the creation of effective staff rotas, ensuring the team meets the needs of the individuals supported;
- Support the well-being, safety, and development of individuals, ensuring compliance with Coquet Trust's policies and safeguarding protocols;
- Supervise, train, and motivate Support Workers, ensuring high standards of care are delivered;
- Maintain accurate documentation, including support plans, financial records, and health and safety audits.
