Our Farm

Our family farm covers 650 acres in South Cheshire, consisting of 400 pedigree Holstein cows, who are calved in the Autumn. We milk our cows twice a day through a 20/20 parlour & associated infrastructure, and we aim to maximise milk from the grass as our cows are grazing for as long as possible, with the milk supplied to County Milk. As a business, we have invested in modern equipment to ensure cow health and welfare are at the highest standards.

Your Role

  • Supporting the daily management of the herd and ensuring animal welfare are the top priorities.
  • Milking to a high and consistent standard, ensuring the parlour is kept clean and safe to operate.
  • Identifying & treating illnesses and informing the Farm Owner of any observations.
  • Supporting with grass management and allocating.
  • Supporting with dry cow management, calving cows and colostrum protocols.
  • Keeping the overall farm tidy and safe to operate.
  • Accurate herd record keeping.
  • General stockperson, feeding and yard work.

Your Requirements

  • A full UK Driving license
  • Proof of UK right to work
  • A Telehandler license is preferred
  • Be a highly motivated individual who can adapt when required, supporting the farm to move forward as a team.
  • Be a punctual, reliable person who is willing to learn.
  • Share our passion for cows, being enthusiastic and committed to achieving high standards.
