Luminate Education Group is recruiting a Deputy Head of Teaching, Learning & Assessment to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support our journey to excellence at Leeds City College, Keighley College, and Harrogate College, following the successful progression of our current post holder.
As the Deputy Head of TLA, you will lead a team of 5 Advanced Practitioners within a credible and experienced central TLA team, providing excellent customer service and support for curriculum departments to drive forward the TLA Vision & Strategy. You should be an innovative teacher/leader with a proven record of ‘good or better’ teaching, learning, and assessment practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Coaching leaders and managers
- Conducting lesson visits and learning walks
- Delivering staff training
- Overseeing quality assurance processes and reporting
Experience in line management is advantageous. We are particularly interested in applicants with a track record of implementing TLA strategies at scale, leading change and innovation, and/or mentoring and coaching leaders. A confident and empathetic approach, with the ability to build trust and credibility with colleagues, is essential.
The role includes delivering teaching in a curriculum department approximately one day per week. This role operates at scale across the organization, offering a new challenge for those passionate about teaching, learning, and assessment within an innovative and ambitious team.
