OLG Recruitment are looking for Welders and Platers for our client located in Scunthorpe and Immingham. This is a full-time contract position for a minimum of two months.
As a Welder or Plater you will be required to carry out Welding or Fabrication and Plating associated activities in accordance with Line Management instructions. You must hold a CSCS card or CCNSG and ideally be local to Scunthorpe or Immingham.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities- Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the Instructions and Documentation, relevant Quality Standards, Risk Assessment, Safety Method Statement and other relevant specifications.
- Interpret Engineering Drawings And Other Documents As Required.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Complete welding as required following proper practices and appropriate welding procedures.
- Using safety equipment for welding in various places as required.
- Working as part of the welding team to complete the project within the timeline indicated by the Line Manager.
- Attending training and courses to keep up-to-date on the latest welding technology and techniques.
- Passing any relevant weld tests or codings as required.
- Follow the Company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Any other reasonable duties as decided by the Line Manager.
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship programme.
- NVQ Level 3 in Plating or Welding.
- To demonstrate responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others around you.
- To demonstrate the reporting of any issues, incidents, near misses and good practices through safety management.
