Are you looking to build your HR career within a dynamic and fast-paced environment? We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised HR Assistant to join a supportive team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Role
As HR Assistant, you'll provide day-to-day support across a range of HR activities, with a focus on onboarding, employee support, training coordination, and HR systems. This is a great opportunity for someone with some HR experience or study behind them, who is eager to grow in a busy and hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new starters, ensuring a smooth and positive induction experience.
- Support the organisation and tracking of training activities, helping to improve learning and development processes across the business.
- Assist with low-level employee relations matters such as probation reviews, informal absence monitoring, and general staff queries.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR data is kept up to date and compliant with data protection regulations.
- Provide administrative support for HR systems, including data input, basic reporting, and involvement in small systems improvement projects.
- Help communicate and update HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including recognition schemes and staff communications.
- Assist with organising internal events such as inductions, training sessions, and wellbeing activities.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in an HR administrative or assistant role, ideally within a fast-paced environment such as manufacturing or similar.
- Comfortable using HR systems and MS Office.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- A team player with strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Working towards a CIPD qualification or with a relevant HR/business-related background (desirable).
